Finding Great Resources on Pinterest

Over the past year I have become a Pinterest junky. Whenever I get a free minute I am on Pinterest looking for things to use in my classroom. I love to create my own posters, anchor charts, and classroom resources rather than buy the premade ones, and Pinterest has proven to be an invaluable resource for me. There are scores of creative teachers who are happy to share their ideas.

As I sit her on a snowy, Sunday morning with my favorite cup of Earl Grey tea and my best bulldog buddy Bentley I have several things on Pinterest that I plan to tweek and implement in my classroom this week. I've included one of them below.

I will have to start Tuesday because I am pretty certain that school will be cancelled tomorrow! I have included them here for you to see-hopefully you will find them as helpful as I do.

I plan to use this for my Daily 5 work with teacher center.

Because I teach 5th grade I am going to tweek this by using the appropriate lined paper. I really like this idea because it is a win for everyone. The students will get to use the dry erase markers they love, it saves me time because the placemats are reusable, and my principal will love it because I only have to print 1 worksheet for each of the 5 spots at my table instead of 25 separate papers!
